The 1962 LeSabre received a 401-cubic-inch (6.5-liter) Nailhead engine (so named because the valves were unusually small), with ratings of 265, 280, or 325 horsepower (depending on what kind of compression ratio and carburetion you wanted). The Dynaflow/Turbine Drive was inefficient, but it was soooo smooth. Buick began using the same Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmissions as the rest of GM after 1963.
