How Much Cash Will My Junk Buick Century Get Me?

The Buick Century is one of Buick's oldest and most enduring models. It's a nice car, but maybe you're ready to trade in your Buick Century for something new. Cyrus Auto Parts is a junkyard. The company takes junk cars and hard sells them off the hands of consumers who want to start over. If you've tried and failed to sell your car for cash, give us a call. Consider contacting us if you require money for an emergency, a down payment, a bill, or a shopping spree. We can help you no matter what kind of car you have. We formulate our calculations on the weight of your car, and the Century is heavy. Curb Weight depends on model you have. Generally speaking, it’s something around 3,300 to 4,000 pounds, which can bring you a good amount of cash. We Buy Junk Buick Century, all models, for the most money you can get!

There are a few important factors to consider when determining the value of your Century:

You'll Always Receive the Best Prices, Best Quotes and Best Offers

The buyers consider the other factors when offering you a price for your car. They take the other factors into account and adjust the raw quote before providing you with the final figure. Because of the way the calculations are done, you must be very specific about the vehicle's condition. You must disclose the starting condition as well as any blemishes or problems. The information will not disqualify you from selling it, but they will need to know so that they can give you the correct price when you call.

Car Doesn’t Start? No Problem

We do not base our offers on the appearance or performance of your vehicle. Even if your car doesn't work, you can still get a large sum of money from us. The weight of your vehicle is the most important factor to us. We consider mileage and condition, but not as much as we consider weight.

Cyrus Auto buys all-condition Buick cars like: Non-running, Accidental, Unwanted, Used, Crashed, Damaged or Wrecked Vehicles.

Stay Safe and Sane by Using Us

There are numerous advantages to choosing us over other options. Trading in your car may appear simple and straightforward, but it can rob you of a fair offer. It may take months to sell your car by sitting outside with a sign in it. Classified ads can help you sell your car quickly, but only if the other party shows up and pays you for it. Because of the people who frequent them, online classified sites and resources have a reputation for being untrustworthy. There is no miracle work when you call Cyrus Auto Parts. Everything is going to go swimmingly because you are going to get rid of an old Century and gain cash without any difficulty.

Buick Century (History and Generations)

BUICK Century 1939 - 1942

Following a new marketing strategy, Buick renamed its models in the mid-'30s, and the Century nameplate was born as a replacement for the Series 60 model.

The automotive industry had entered a new era. The canvas-top vehicles were mostly gone, and the new body-on-frame vehicles with an enclosed cabin for passengers and a separate area for the luggage compartment took over the car arena.

The tall and narrow engine compartment was flanked on the outside by flamboyant, curved fenders that were interrupted by the spare wheels. Buick had already realized that the side steps were no longer necessary because the cars were no longer as tall as they had been.

The interior was also clean and simple, but it was finished with high-end materials. Buick offered the Century in three body styles: sedan, coupe, and convertible. In addition to the leather upholstery, the car had a radio, an ashtray, and a metallic dash panel with three large dials in front of the driver and a clock in front of the passenger.

The Century, like most cars of the time, was built on top of a rigid chassis. Buick's front independent suspension with coil springs improved comfort, while the rear relied on the reliable rigid axle with leaf springs. Under the hood was an inline-eight powerplant called the Firewall Dynaflash Eight, which boasted an overhead valves system. The 143 hp engine could now provide some punchy accelerations for those times, earning the car the nickname "The banker's hot-rod."

BUICK Century 1989 - 1996

The Century received a facelift for 1989, gaining a new more-rounded roofline, but continuing on the A-body platform.

The rear quarter windows were replaced with black plastic inserts bearing the Buick trishield emblem. The front end was updated with flush headlamps and a rounded grille, as well as the stand-up hood ornament, which was now standard. All sedan models were easily identified by their distinctive full-width taillights, a somewhat extravagant flourish on a smaller sedan but one that continued a Buick tradition of large taillights. In 1991, the exterior was updated. For 1993, the 2.5 L I4 was replaced by a new 115 hp 2.2 L. The coupe model was discontinued in 1994, and all models received a standard driver's side airbag. Also in 1994, the 160 hp 3.3 L Buick V6 was replaced with a 3.1 L V6 with the same power rating, and with the introduction of MFI, power on the 2.2 L I4 was increased to 120 hp. A round speedometer replaced the wide rectangular one in 1995, but the car retained the original 1981-style dash.

BUICK Century 1996 – 2005

Buick introduced the 1997 Century in late 1996 and was a far departure from its predecessor, which was already an outdated-looking vehicle.

While the fifth Century generation tried to hide the A-body platform's front-wheel-drive architecture with a cab-rearward design, the 1997 model played the right card and boldly displayed a cab-forward look. It was built on an entirely new W-body Gen 2 platform shared with other vehicles such as the Chevrolet Impala, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Buick Regal, to name just a few.

Its rounded design included sweeping headlights on one side with rounded margins towards the main oval grille and turn signals on the other. The Century was an excellent example of bio-design, but its customers were unappreciative because the majority of them were already AARP members. Buick succeeded in creating a vehicle that was both luxurious and subtle.

The interior features a waved-like dashboard with a curved upper side above the instrument panel and a sloped-down passenger side. Buick provided seating for four people, with wide, comfortable seats in the front and a bench in the back profiled for two passengers. The lower trim levels had a high-quality velour interior, while the higher trim levels had a leather-clad interior. The four-spoke steering wheel had sound system controls and an airbag in the center.

For the US market, GM installed a 3.1-liter V-6 engine with two power options, while Chinese customers received a smaller, 3.0-liter unit and even a four-banger paired with a manual transmission.
